Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund

Congress recently passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which has a provision for higher education. That provision, known as the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)-IHE/Student Aid, allocates funding to institutions to provide emergency grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to the CARES Act, Kenyon has allocated institutional dollars to support students who are not eligible for federal funding.

    Eligibility Criteria
This form should be used only for expenses that were incurred due to the interruption of classes in the spring semester of 2020. All students are eligible to be considered for funding without regard to citizenship status. Whenever possible, Kenyon will use federal funding to meet requests. Students who are not eligible for federal funding will also be considered using funds from the College or its donors.

To be eligible for consideration of funding, the student must:

    • Have been enrolled at Kenyon (or in an approved off-campus program) after March 13, 2020.
    • Have experienced a financial hardship as a result of the disruption of education due to the coronavirus pandemic.
    • Have a completed FAFSA on file with Kenyon in any award year that confirms eligibility for federal aid OR self-certify Title IV eligibility (US Citizens and permanent residents only).
Non-citizens are eligible for institutional and donor-funded grants and should also use this application to request funding.

    Registration is no longer available.
